Bruno Fernandes has been accused of ‘throwing dummy out of the pram’ in recent weeks at Manchester United. The Portuguese midfielder and his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo have both been seen to be visibly annoyed while on the pitch for the Reds this season. Fernandes took the captain’s armband in the absence of Harry Maguire last Saturday.

In his last Premier League away game, Fernandes claimed a goal and assist to help United clinch victory over Leeds. But, according to ex-Reds defender Paul Parker, the 27-year-old has not been at his best recently.

He told bettingexpert: “You look in the midfield, you just have a lot of energy.

“You’ve got (Bruno) Fernandes, who keeps wanting to throw his dummy out of the pram all the time. So, what do you do?

“You really haven’t got any guarantees when you look at somebody and go, I know what he’s gonna give me. You haven’t got that.

“Fernandes, at the moment things aren’t going right for him when he plays the game for himself, not for the team, so that’s a problem.”

Manchester United are currently preparing for a massive fixture on Sunday in the Premier League. Ralf Rangnick’s men travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Man City with the hope of securing bragging rights.
