Homecoming concert

The Silicon Valley Gay Men’s Chorus is staging “Homecoming,” the group’s first in-person concert in two years, Dec. 10-12 at Campbell United Methodist Church, 1675 Winchester Blvd.

Performances are Friday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 12 at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20-$25 at https://svgmc.org/tickets

‘Reflections’ submissions sought

The Campbell Museums are accepting submissions for the groups’ biannual art show on the theme of “Reflections.” Artwork should be submitted in two age categories:  youth (ages 6-17) and adult (age 18 and older).

Submissions will be juried by a panel on community leaders, who will take interpretation of the theme and artistic ability into consideration. Once the exhibit is up, the public will be able to vote for their favorite artwork.

For details and submission guidelines, visit https://www.campbellmuseums.com and select “2022 Juried Art Show” from the “Exhibits” dropdown.

Parklets extended

The Campbell City Council recently voted to extend the Parklets Program in Downtown Campbell out to Jan. 3, 2022. The program was scheduled to end on Sept. 30 unless extended.

This is expected to be the final extension of the Parklets Program in Downtown Campbell, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the parklets or some version of expanded outdoor seating is going away entirely. The Campbell City Council will be considering permanent options for a more limited parklet program to replace the current one instituted in 2020 as a COVID-19 pandemic measure.
