A DRIVER has been charged with murder after a man in his 40s was killed in an alleged hit and run crash.
Luke Dann, 36, from Plymouth, has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on March 25.
Cops from Devon and Cornwall Police and paramedics were called to Leigham Manor Drive at around 8.55pm on March 21 following reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, named by police as David Kelly, 42, was confirmed dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.
Police say it was reported that the vehicle left the scene and was discovered in the Marsh Mills retail park at short while later.

It has been seized by the police.
Dann was arrested at the Costa Coffee cafe in the retail park on suspicion of murder the same night.
Police confirmed today they had carried out a “number of searches and enquiries at properties and locations in Plymouth linked to the investigation”.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Ilona Rosson said: “Following enquiries last night, one man remains in police custody and we are not seeking anyone else in connection to this matter.
“Cordons remain in place today whilst our enquiries are ongoing, and members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area today.
“I would ask that anyone who has any information, relevant dash cam or CCTV footage which may assist our investigation, to report it to us.”
Anyone with information is asked to report it online and quote log 720 of 22 March.
