Excessive heat warnings, advisories remain in effect for much of Southern California – Orange County Register

0 42

Temperatures are forecasted to hit 100 or more degrees through at least Saturday evening in the Inland Empire, with many along the Southern California coast expected to see highs in the 70s and 80s, forecasters said Wednesday.

Nearby smoke from a 35-acre wildfire didn’t deter customers from visiting The Cove Waterpark in Riverside on Wednesday, where 101-degree weather has made business busier than usual, according to an employee at the outdoor waterpark.

High temperatures are expected to reach 103 degrees in Lake Elsinore and 106 in Hemet on Thursday and an excessive heat warning will remain in effect until Saturday evening for residents of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The National Weather Service has also issued excessive heat advisories and watches for Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley, where dangerously high heat could reach up to 108 over the weekend.

In Orange County, those planning a visit to Disneyland should plan for hot conditions in the low 90s for Anaheim, going up to 94 degrees on Friday and Saturday.
