UFC Vegas 42: Khaos Williams defeated Miguel Baeza.

Khaos Williams defeated Miguel Baeza via TKO (strikes), Round 3 – 1:02 at UFC Vegas 42 on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, live from UFC APEX in Las Vegas, NV.

“I was made for this. I was counted out before I even got here but I’m a threat… As soon as possible. Obviously not next week, I’ve got to get my calf to heal,” said Williams

Throughout the fight, Baeza hammered Williams with calf kicks. In the third round, it caught up with Baeza. After Baeza landed two straight calf kicks, Williams unleashed a vicious combination. Williams landed a left hook to the jaw and followed it up with an extremely powerful right hook. Baeza’s legs crumpled underneath him. Williams immediately jumped on Baeza and landed a few extra punches before referee Chris Tognoni could intervene and stop the fight.

Williams won his last fight, defeating Matthew Semelsberger, giving him three wins in his first four UFC fights. After another spectacular knockout, Williams improved to 13-2 in his career with seven knockouts. The knockout was Williams’ third in his last five fights.

Baeza started his professional career by winning his first 10 fights. In his last fight, Baeza suffered his first loss against Santiago Ponzinibbio. The second straight loss will put a further damper on Baeza’s prospects in the UFC. The knockout was the first time that Baeza had ever been stopped in his career.
