elebrity couple Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were reportedly targeted with a terrifying burglary while they were inside their £3.5million mansion with their 13-month-old son.

The Little Mix singer and Liverpool footballer, who are engaged, were robbed of items such as jewellery and designer handbags during the ordeal at their home in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Cheshire Police said officers were called to the burglary at 10.45pm on Tuesday and are now investigating.

A family friend told the Sun: “It’s just the most violating thing to think that someone has been all over their belongings before they even realised what was happening is so upsetting.

“The brazenness of doing it while they were in the house is terrifying, and obviously they’re heartbroken that a lot of valuable items which meant a great deal to them, not just financially, have been taken.”

Neither Ms Edwards nor Mr Oxlade-Chamberlain, both 29, have commented.

The pair have been living together since 2019 and at their current home since 2020. The couple had baby Axel in August 2021.

The Wilmslow neighbourhood is famous for attracting footballers and Mr Oxlade-Chamberlain can call on players Raphael Varane and Ederson Santana as neighbours while legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson also lives nearby.

The incident is the latest in a series of raids on footballers. North west-based stars Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelof and Jesse Lingard have also had their property targeted by criminals.

A Wilmslow neighbour told the Sun: “This is a very quiet street and lots of residents have very good security, so it is quite frightening these thugs still feel comfortable enough to break in — especially when people are in. It must have been terrifying.”

A Cheshire Police statement added: “The offenders broke into the home stealing jewellery and handbags while the occupants were inside.

“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects and anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage is asked to contact Cheshire Constabulary online quoting IML 1376392. Information can also be provided anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
