Queen Rania donned a cherry red power suit and elegant diamond necklace as she met with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, at the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) offices in New York on Monday.
The pair spoke about Syrian and Sudanese refugees and local communities in host countries, with the Queen explaining that “the Syrian refugee crisis is still very much a crisis” for Jordan.
Her Majesty also announced her newest project on social media.
“Proud to be joining forces with @worldeconomicforum’s GAEA initiative, which aims to create new partnerships in the fight against climate change and nature loss,” she captioned the series of pictures in New York.
It’s not known if Queen Rania will bump into Prince William during her trip as the Prince of Wales also visits New York for the Earthshot Prize Summit this week.
