Vaibhav Tatwawadi: Kashi changes something inside you, forever! | Web Series

0 60

On his maiden visit to Varanasi, Bajirao Mastani actor Vaibhav Tatwawadi says that he is in love with the city and wants to come here very frequently.

“I wanted to visit Varanasi for a very long time. Since I am into yog kriya, so people used to tell me that I should visit the holy city! I am putting up near the Ganga ghats and I’m in love with the majestic city. Meditating on the ghats gave me a different kind of energy and calmness within. Now, I feel that Kashi changes something inside you which I suppose is permanent.”

The Lipstick Under My Burkha actor adds, “I have travelled a lot and have been to Italy, Switzerland and so many other countries for work purpose but without an iota of doubt I can say this place is out of the world. It’s a feeling that could not be articulated in words. There is a sense of belonging which is very fascinating and now I know that my visits here will be quite often.”

There was another reason for his visit.

“In my last OTT series Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi, where I play the protagonist, there is a scene where I take a dip in the Ganga and say some amazing lines ‘jab hum chotey they tab jhoot-mooth ka rote the, bade hue to jhoot-mooth ka muskurate hai.’ We actually shot it at the Narmada River near Bhopal and since then I desired to take a holy dip in the Ganga. The series hit the right chord and audiences are asking for its second season so I thought of fulfilling my wish. I even brought my director along who interestingly now wants to shoot here.”

Tatwawadi has done 11 Marathi films as a lead and few serials so far. “I have done only few Hindi films so the penetration level with this rural-based family show has been very high and I am getting very good response. Before this I have done Forbidden Love on OTT with Rima Sen.”

The actor has more projects coming up. “I have completed shooting for Hindi film Baat Itni Kaafi Hai by national award-winning director Makran Mane and opposite me is another national award-winning female lead Anjali Patil so I’m very excited. Next, I am shooting for a music video in Srinagar,” he shares.

Hailing from Nagpur Tatwawadi pursued engineering before moving to Mumbai.

“I have done theatre for over a decade that has been my biggest teacher till date,” tells Tatwawadi on a signing off note.
