Who has the Youtuber beaten so far and what weight division is he in? ‘The Nightmare’ set for return against FaZe Temperrr after Dillon Danis pulls out
KSI will return to the ring this weekend to face FaZe Temperrr as he continues to prepare for the ultimate crossover showdown fight against Jake Paul.
The British social media star has been credited with the explosion of YouTube boxing in recent years after stepping inside the ropes.
Joe Weller and Theo Baker’s matchup in a gym in August 2017 was the first of the influencer boxing to make waves on these shores.
But it wasn’t until KSI fought YouTube rival Weller months later in February 2018 for a white collar bout that the sport began to grow.
The 29-year-old stopped Weller in the third round of their contest and then called-out American YouTube brothers Jake and Logan Paul.
It was older brother Logan who accepted the challenge and the two drew in their first meeting, before deciding to turn professional in the cruiserweight ranks for the rematch.
But who won that showdown and who has KSI fought since? talkSPORT.com takes a look…
Who has KSI beaten so far?
Logan Paul
The YouTubers fought a dramatic six-rounder in November 2019 in Los Angeles, with the Brit emerging victorious by split decision.
Two of the three judges scored it (57-54 KSI, 56-55 KSI) while the third had it 56-55 Paul to produce a split verdict in favour of KSI.
However, the razor thin margin of his triumph would not have stood without referee Jack Reiss’ decision to deduct two points from the American for hitting KSI late after knocking him down in the fourth.
Paul unsuccessfully appealed the ruling of the fight, which sparked a furious war of words between the pair in the weeks following.
However, they have since patched things up and even teamed up to launch the best-selling energy drink Prime Hydration across the UK.
Swarmz
Three years passed since KSI’s defining victory while he pursued other ventures in business and music before he returned to the ring.
‘The Nightmare’ was initially due to take on Alex Wassabi, only for him to withdraw citing concussion with just three weeks to go.
KSI instead faced British rapper Swarmz as a late replacement and made short work of the fight, claiming a dominant second-round KO.
KSI even did press-ups in between rounds before going backstage to prepare for a second fight on the same night!
Luis Alcarez Pineda
KSI’s most recent win that took him to 3-0 came just hours after he had dispatched Swarmz as he faced a professional for the first time.
Although not that fans would be able to tell, as the British star blasted Mexican Pineda with a third-round TKO.
KSI reacted by saying: “Ladies and gentlemen, are you not entertained?
“Two fights, one night, two KO’s. I talked the talk and I walked the walk.”
KSI: Next fight
KSI will now face FaZe Temperrr on just ten days notice at MF & DAZN: X Series 004 and all the action will be live on talkSPORT!
Our expert team will be made up of presenters Jim White and Gareth A Davies, commentator Andy Clarke and former super-bantamweight champion Spencer Oliver.
KSI was scheduled to fight Conor McGregor’s old teammate Dillon Danis but he pulled out for, as of yet, unconfirmed reasons.
“My end goal is to fight Jake Paul, knock him out and end his whole journey,” KSI said on talkSPORT’s Drivetime last year.
“I want to silence him once and for all and show everyone how much of a fraud he is when it comes to this whole YouTube boxing scene.”
