With Elon Musk’s entry, how will the next Twitter board meeting be? Tesla boss answers with a meme

0 61

Elon Musk, who went from being a tech boss who shared memes on Twitter to joining the microblogging site’s board, has given a glimpse at what future top meetings at Twitter will look like.

The 50-year-old Tesla chief took to Twitter to share his own reaction on the news about him joining the board. And as expected, Musk reacted via a meme which shows him smoking marijuana while the caption reads: “Twitter’s next board meeting is gonna be lit.”

The picture is from his interview with Joe Rogan podcast which has now resurfaced online. After the news about Musk joining the Twitter board broke, people took to the microblogging site to congratulate the billionaire, but of course, in form of memes.

And living up to his title on ‘memelord’, Musk himself joined in on the jokes as he shared the legendary meme on his official Twitter account.

Musk, who also leads the SpaceX venture and is the world’s richest man, had the day prior of Twitter’s official announcement, revealed that he had purchased 73.5 million shares or 9.2 percent of the microblogging giant’s common stock, sending the company’s value up more than 27 percent on Wall Street.

However, with Musk’s entry in to Twitter, employees are reportedly concerned about his ability to influence the company’s policies on abusive users and harmful content.

According to a report on
Reuters, employees said that Musk’s views on moderation could weaken years-long efforts to make Twitter a place of healthy discourse, and might allow trolling and mob attacks to flourish

Meanwhile there are also reports that Twitter plans to hold a meeting for employees concerned about Tesla chief executive’s influence on the company’s board.
