Harrison Ford ‘in talks to enter MCU in Fantastic Four reboot role’ | Films | Entertainment

Now that Fox has been bought by Disney, the rights of the Fantastic Four are now with Marvel Studios. The comic book First Family are set to be rebooted into the MCU in an upcoming 2024 movie.

John Krasinski cameoed as Mr Fantastic aka Reed Richards from Earth-838 in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, only to be immediately killed off by Scarlet Witch.

However, given there are other variants out there who look the same, it’s always possible he will be cast in the new Fantastic Four movie.

Meanwhile, WandaVision director Matt Shakman is expected to be announced as helming the movie in news alongside possibly the cast at D23’s Marvel panel this weekend.

In the meantime, there’s a new report that none other than Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford, is in talks to co-star in Fantastic Four.

Later on, in Marvel Comics, Franklin was replaced by a Skrull imposter and had a laser cannon strapped onto his chest by aliens as a boobytrap set for the Fantastic Four, only to end up dying.

Meanwhile, in more modern issues, he is the director of the Baxter Foundation and a scientist dedicated to child prodigies, which includes the Fantastic Four.

If the rumours turn out to be true, here’s hoping he has as good an older mentor role as Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym in the Ant-Man trilogy.
